Blueberries & Banana Oatmeal

Here is the recipe of one of my many oatmeal versions. Lets face it I love oatmeal because its so versatile. I can add anything I fee like having that morning and it never fails to amaze me how delicious it is. 

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Rolled Oats (I prefer steel cut oats, but I did not have any in my kitchen at the time)

1 cup Water

1 tspn Cinnamon

1 Banana

1 tbspn Chia Seeds

2 tbspn Ground Flax Seeds

1 tspn honey 

Toppings (Optional):

1/4 Cup Frozen Blueberries

1/2 Banana

Sprinkle shredded unsweetened coconut

Instructions:

1. In a small pot, fill with 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup rolled oats, cinnamon, and banana. Mix together. Cook over medium-high heat until oats come to a boil, for about 5 minutes. Make sure not to over cook because it will become dry and hard, which is not good at all. Leave a bit watery because oats will absorb the liquid even after off the heat.

2. Once oats are cooked, throw in chia seeds, flax seeds, blueberries, and honey. This is optional, but you can top with the topping mentioned above.
