Homemade Peanut Butter

Ingredients:

Raw Peanuts

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F

Place raw peanuts in a rimmed baking sheet in a single layer. Roast the peanuts for 30 minutes. Make sure you flip the peanuts every 10 minutes because this way every side of the peanuts roast evenly. After the 30 minutes, let the peanuts cool.

In a food processor or blender, add the cooled peanuts and blend until peanut butter is formed. You may leave it as smooth or chunky as you would like.

Do not get alarmed if your blender or food processor makes a strange noise because while the peanuts are blending, the peanuts form into a ball and the appliance will make a strange noise. The ball smoothes out quickly.

Place your peanut butter into a glass container and refrigerate because since we are not using any preservatives, the peanut oils may cause the peanut butter to expire quicker. Make sure to take the peanut butter out 10 minutes before you use it. I usually do not take the peanut butter out earlier, but I do not mind having cold peanut butter.
