Arroz con Leche Oatmeal

Arroz con Leche Oatmeal


1/3 cup +1 Tablespoon Rolled Oats

1/2 cup milk*

1/2 cup water

1 Cinnamon stick

1 Tablespoon honey

1/2 Teaspoon ground cinnamon (garnish)

Frozen blueberries (optional garnish)


In a small pot add rolled oats, milk, water and cinnamon stick. Turn the heat to medium low. Do not heat the pot before adding the ingredients because it will dry out the oats. Bring the oat mixture to a boil. Stir occasionally to ensure the oatmeal does not stick to the bottom.

Turn off the heat once the oats have soften. The oatmeal should not be dry, the oatmeal should be a runny consistency. Add honey, mix together. If you want, add the garnish ingredients and enjoy.

This serving is for one person, you may double the recipe to feed more people.

*You may substitute milk for a plant-based option, but I do not know if the plant-based milk will change the flavor.
